New Futures was the third and final exhibition in the Lansbury Micro Museum’s Neighbourhood Number Nine series.
Working with local community groups, we hosted a series of workshops to draw out future aspirations for Poplar, concerns about changes to the area, and reflections on what makes up local identity. We used a variety of materials and techniques to draw out people’s ideas, and these were exhibited as a 3D model and simplified design proposals alongside the original workshop materials and outputs.
The Lansbury Micro Museum is a small exhibition space within Chrisp Street Market on the Lansbury Estate in Poplar, East London, and is run by the V&A.
